Fabulous large family villa with stunning views

A perfect base for our group of 16, the villa is well equipped with the ability to be split into 3 separate apartments or used as a whole as we did. The main kitchen, dining room, living area and outside roof terraces were great communal areas. Popiglio is small, but has a decent shop and a very good value Pizzeria and decent supermarkets are just 10 minutes drive away at San Marcello. Day trips to Florence, Lucca and Pisa were all very easy to reach.

Amazing. Perfect weekend! One we’ll never forget.

Where to start. I honestly couldn’t recommend Casa Nicola more! We were a group of 20 ladies on a hen do. Nicola who owns the house was amazing from start to finish – she sorted all of our transport for us, booked the restaurant for us, arranged for food to be stocked in the kitchen, cooked us an INCREDIBLE 3-course meal (with wine!) and genuinely made it a perfect weekend. She even arranged for the village music festival to start on the roof terrace as part of our hen entertainment! (The May bank holiday is a great time to visit – the village Cantamaggio is an absolute must!) The house was great for what we wanted, plenty of room, great kitchen, lots of social space and the views across the Tuscan valleys were incredible. The whole group couldn’t stop talking about what an amazing weekend we had and it was in no small part to Nicola and Casa Nicola itself – they absolutely made it. We couldn’t be more impressed or happy with the whole weekend and we’re already looking at coming back in the future! A huge thank you to Nicola and her team for everything they did to make it so perfect and honestly a trip we will remember forever.

Wonderful week at Casa Nicola

What a surprise finding a beautiful rental in a historic Tuscan mountain village with easy access to all the activities we were looking for. The panoramic views from this location were totally magical. Coming from Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, we were used to wonderful panoramic views and this did not disappoint in any way. We found our daily drives to the Mediterranean/ Ligurian Sea, to Pisa, Lucca, to Florence and Pistoia all within an easy reach for day trips. We also took a trip to Abetone which happens to be the premier skiing location in northern Tuscany. The preparation for our arrival at Casa Nicola was impeccable. Once settled in we felt such peace with the surroundings. The ancient fireplaces and architectural heritage! We will certainly return. Thank you Nicola !!
